THE BRITEMORES
THE MANIMALS • THRILL SERGEANTS
THE NEW YORK LOVEBIRDS

A supergroup nearly 30 years in the making, The Britemores is a collaborative effort featuring long-time Detroit musical allies Johnny Chan (New Dynasty 6/Split Signals), Jeff Meier (Detroit Cobras/ Compulsive Gamblers/Rocket 455/Nathaniel Mayer/Gino Washington), Jerry Barterian (Onset/Hysteric Narcotics) and Will Lorenz (aka "the kid"). Comprised of myriad styles and influences, The Britemores’ music gives a thoughtful, greasy nod to Detroit garage/punk legends through memorable guitar hooks while cleansing their audience’s musical palate with soft-spoken, heartfelt ballads that even their mothers (wouldn't) approve of. The Britemores’ debut album is out soon on Jett Plastic Recordings.

Move Your Arse

A PONY NAMED OLGA
CATERWAUL OF SOUND • TWO MINUTE THRILLS

Don't let the upright bass, greased hair, and sideburns fool you. This ain't no rockabilly band! It's way too dirty and you wont wanna swing dance to it. But dance you will. With elements of dirty rock'n'roll, cowpunk, polka and dark humor you wont know weather to laugh or die. The band is so willing to entertain you, they sacrifice their own well being with ridiculous stage stunts which has ended often with a trips to the hospital and almost the morgue. That's how much they care. It's a show you will want to crucify yourself if you miss.

THUNDERA
FOUR EYES • ROGUE DIDIS

Thundera is a head-bopping, arm-swaying, body-rockin' experience from a group of women who make you feel their groove and will have you wanting more. The songs are infectious, the rhythm is undeniable and the calling is one you won't want to ignore. Like their influences (The Runaways, Joan Jett, Bikini Kill, Patti Smith, etc.), their sound is raw, powerful and infused with vitality. Tonight's show is the release party for their self-titled debut album.

DAVE HILLYARD & THE ROCKSTEADY 7

The Rocksteady 7 is an influential American ska and jazz band from NYC. Since the early '90s the group has consisted of tenor saxophonist and band leader David Hillyard (of Slackers fame) as well as percussionist Larry McDonald (Afro Jamaicans, Bob Marley, Taj Mahal, Gil-Scott Heron). In live performances, they are supported by a rotating cast of musicians, including drummer Eddie Ocampo and Dave Wake on keys among others. Given reggae's globally reaching influence, the Rocksteady 7 holds true to the genre's roots and the self-described "Jamaican Jazz" sound combines ska, rocksteady and reggae with extended jazz improvisation, intricate melodies, and complex harmonies. The group incorporates many diverse elements of world music with rocksteady rhythms, including ska, jazz, calypso, as well as early African and American jazz influences.

No Sign Of Love Or Farewell

PETE LANCTOT & THE STRAY DOGS

Pete Lanctot & The Stray Dogs embraces the marriage of the new and the old, beauty and dissonance and the telling of expansive stories told through small details that are unique to the American musical tradition. Hailed as "Personify[ing] pretty much everything good about New York’s most happening music scene" by New York Music Daily, Pete Lanctot’s narrative songwriting, firmly rooted in in blues, folk, country, and experimental music, offers pinhole views into the lives of characters that range from the real to the mythological carrying on these musical traditions while avoiding replication and derivation. Utilizing a rotating cast of musicians from the most talented blues, jazz, country, cajun and experimental musicians in the New York, Nashville and Memphis scenes, The Stray Dogs operates as a collective rather than a traditional backing ensemble, ranging from acoustic trio to full electric band. With this ever-changing lineup, each Stray Dogs performance, becomes a singular, vibrant event where musicians interact and contribute uniquely to the sound as the band seamlessly swings from tender and affectionate to feral and aggressive on a dime.
