    Commie Blues

Round Eye, the experimental freak-punk outfit have accrued quite a loud and controversial name for themselves since forming in 2012. The Shanghai based group have shown no mercy nor fatigue in sound development or work ethic and have as of late been a crucial force in bridging a wide gap between the eastern and western hemispheres of punk-rock. Along with blazing a gnarly trail all over the globe (USA, Mexico, S. Korea, Japan) they’ve toured the mainland of China a number of times and have played host to visiting western groups and some legends as well.

They’ve shared stages with western groups such as D.O.A., The FUs, Paul Collins Beat, M.O.T.O., Ceremony, and Iceage, eastern groups such as P.K.14,SMZB and Misandao and have been banned from performing on the mainland by the Ministry of Culture during a tour with UK punk legends The Boys (as a result the tour was forced to literally go underground where they held the secret gigs in bomb shelters around the country). The ban lasted only the duration of the tour and was assigned due to "crowd control issues" following the tragic Shanghai band stampede, a controversial tour poster, and reports of Round Eye’s lewd stage antics.

They’ve won the "Best Local Band" title from Shanghai’s City Weekend magazine two years in a row. They’ve released two music videos (one starring famed Chinese actress Wang Lin) and honed their unconventional blend of '50s r&b and punk with a critically acclaimed EP Full Circle on Ripping/Genjing Records which featured Greg Ginn (Black Flag), and have drawn comparisons to the Stooges, Dr. Feelgood, and The Fall. Currently, they are set to drop their eponymous LP in June, which features saxophonist Steve Mackay (The Stooges/Violent Femmes) and R. Stevie Moore.

    LES SANS CULOTTESTHE CARVELS
JACQUES LE COQUE • WIRE TROOP

The "seven-headed beast from the hard-scrabble streets of Menilmontant" and "those frilly Parisian underthings," Les Sans Culottes borrowed their name from the ill-clad (i.e., long-trousered) citizen-soldiers of the French Revolution. The band's sound is a melange of Francophone '60s girl group and the Kinks... "We are the masters of the French rock'n'roll; all others are but the slave!"

The Carvels are led by Lynne Von Pang, former front woman of seminal NYC scum-rock blues-punk band Da Willys and the tight, hard-rocking outfit Trick Babys. Lynne's voice is legendary on the lower east side rock scene, and she has shared the stage with legends like Sylvain Sylvain (NY Dolls), Clem Burke (Blondie), Wayne Kramer (MC5) and Walter Lure (The Heartbreakers). Along with Lynne's vocals and rhythm guitar, the sound is filled out by four top-notch seasoned musicians - co-founder Brian Morgan on lead guitar, Steve Pang on drums, Steven Fallon on bass and David Spinley on saxophone.

    Out For Blood

    THE MEMPHIS MURDER MEN
ICE COLD KILLERS • THE RAMOMS
    SOUTH CLASS VETERANS

"50's rock'n'roll bastard child'' — that just about sums up The Memphis Murder Men. Originally hailing from Pittsburgh, PA — the band evolved from the Steel City's first horror-punk outfit, The Brain Invaders — and now call Oakland their home. These guys have fired up the stage with The Misfits, Tiger Army, The Murder Junkies, The Quakes, The Guana Batz and just about every legendary psychobilly band there is.

The group completely embodies the rock'n'roll that gave birth to every punk, rockabilly, and psycho band out there and do it without regrets or fear of what "the scene" might think. Love ‘em or hate ‘em, The Memphis Murder Men are putting the last nail in the coffin of bad rock'n roll and cranking out loud and proud rhythm and blues the way the greats did.

      20th Century Eyes

Cash Registers play raw, melodic punk. The band wears their Ramones and Buzzcocks influences on their sleeve, with the early hardcore of Black Flag, Dead Kennedys and Circle Jerks thrown in the mix.  Cash Registers mastermind John Bendik began his musical life in Pittsburgh hardcore scene. John’s bands had a brief existence, but left a lasting impression on the scene.  After relocating to New York City in the '90s, John moved to the front of the stage to sing and play guitar for his new band, Cash Registers.

Cash Registers played hundreds of live shows and released two highly-praised EPs and comp tracks for Flipside, Go-Kart, Intensive Scare and more. After almost 10 years of raging in the clubs in New York City and the East Coast, John folded the band and took a break. Itching to get back to music, John started sorting through his tapes and CDs. He found 20+ unreleased Cash Register songs, which he remixed and remastered for the full-length album Context Demos released on Million Dollar Records. The album picked up great reviews and John formed a new version of the  Cash Registers, with old friends Mark Zadroga and Rick Melara for live shows.  The band made their live debut in June 2014 and continue tearing up stages in and around New York City to this day.

      STEAK
      BOURBON EXPRESS

Steak is founding members Erik Lieblein on rhythm guitar/vocals, Jack Grace on lead guitar/vocals, Stu Damm on drums, and occasionally founding member TJ Thomas on bass with Larry Cook and Daniel Garcia also sharing the bass chair. Their first fans developed from the Boulder, Colorado music scene in 1992 which included bands like The Samples, Big Head Todd and The Monsters Leftover Salmon and many others. The band played a "sarcastic latin/funk with everything including the kitchen sink kinda style" (Colorado Daily) and quickly developed a Colorado/West Coast underground group of followers. The word on their 'silly yet clever in a refreshing manner" (SF Weekly) stage show kept spreading and Steak began traveling California with the magical cult band, The Beat Farmers for a stretch. The road continued with a diverse pedigree of bands that included NRBQ, Uncle Tupelo, Aquarium Rescue Unit, Fishbone, The Funky Meters, Leo Nocentelli and Zigaboo Modeliste,  Steak got a tour bus and lived on the road for a few years, relocating to San Francisco and eventually basing themselves from Jack, Erik and Stu's birthplace of New York City. Steak is internationally renowned primarily for it's song, "Big Bear" which is featured in the climax of the Fox Searchlight comedy hit, Super Troopers (along with another Steak track, "Second To The Bottle").

      THE BOSCH
      KLEENEX GIRL WONDERHOT DICE

Greasy twang, driving rhythms, a sense of melody and brevity contribute to a sound that draws on influences from the entirety of rock and roll’s storied history. This is The Bosch, a New York City quartet who sounds something like what might happen “if Brian Wilson, Dick Dale, and Joey Ramone stayed up all night taking speed pills and Ritalin.”
